Some of you might be startled to hear that we built in rest days. As most of you know, we're a spreadsheet family and take a year - generally - to plan out our adventures. Since we retired, and JR and I are staying in Florence for an extended period, we wanted a slower and potentially more relaxed pace. Tuesday found us all sleeping in - well, for some of us more than others. JR and I walked around Florence and revisited some areas we remembered and then had a wonderful breakfast. Upon returning, we did laundry - this unit had a washer AND a dryer; a true luxury.
Everyone wandered about on their own pace coming together for a family event and then dinner. The rain still follows us, but more a nuisance than any real affect. Kat and Cleo suggested we get similar/matching tattoos; yes, even JR. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and Bolo at the Florence City Ink Tattoo is fantastic. His linework is amazing. The kids got olive branches surrounding their heart tattoos behind their ear, JR got an olive branch - smaller and all black - but in the same location. You all know, I be fancy, so mine is on my right forearm and has color. I'm so tickled with it. Bolo absolutely rocked it out of the park in experience and product. So much so, that Kat/Cleo went back their last day and got another one. Cleo got an artistic representation of a pentagram while Kat got the last line from Labyrinth - 'you have no power over me' - in the most lovely linework on her collarbone above her heart.
JR sketched us as we got our tattoo.
Cleo and Kat have fallen in love with the Florence vibe. heh heh
