Our time with Kit and Jeri is starting to wane. JR and I took a much needed rest day while they went to Uffizzi and walked around Florence. We met up at Porta Romana to meet our ride to go make pasta at this amazing house outside Florence with views of the City and a welcoming vibe. The teachers were great, Francesca (Francy) is a doll. Highly recommend this experience - it's a little pricey but worth every penny. Three types of pasta and three different sauces along with probably one of the best mouthful of bruschetta (brew-sketta not brew-shetta) I've ever had. From aperitivi to prosecco to wine, there was no shortage of drinks (non-alcoholic drinks were provided as well). There were 10 Americans of various backgrounds and we had a blast. Made a new friend who is also pursuing citizenship. She is living here to experience all the red tape in person and we agreed to get together and continue to share our experiences over an aperitivo or two (which would make it aperitivi ☺).
