Arezzo is a fabulous city filled with vistas and views at every turn. Fun fact - it's also a capital city.
Not only that, but it is also home to the largest antiques and sundries market in the region of Arezzo. It appears every first Sunday of the month and the preceding Saturday if in the same month. Yes, the Italian are very specific. It encompasses about ten streets and three piazzas. You can find everything from art to furniture to household items, as well as clothing, accessories and shoes. It was so fun to browse. We picked up some little items that reminded of us of certain people.
While perusing the market, we collectively decided to make pasta at the VRBO that evening. So, after we sent grocery shopping, Jack and I, as we do, went down to a kitchen store to purchase some items that our wonderful VRBO kitchen did not have. Yes, this is the place we bought the knife that cut JR's finger a day or two later. We also got a pasta mat, a rolling pin, and ravioli cutters. On our walk back, we passed a bakery and just HAD to get some dessert. We also decided to make bruschetta and caprese salad, because, when in Arezzo...
They were indeed, 'cute'.
