OK, enough of the bad cliche' or play on words for the day...we need to get this stuff in the car and get a move on. Good thing there aren't more of us, or someone wouldn't be going. It's always interesting to see how you can get your life down to the essentials for 14 days. Tent, 2 sleeping bags, 2 mats, enough clothes for 6 days as there are laundry facilities (also for dressup event in Chicago - our Nephew's First Communion), non-perishable food items, hiking stuff, 2 first aid, 2 snake bite kits, one air horn (to frighten the groggy bears in yellowstone), portable grill, condiments, 2 computers, 2 cameras, 2 sets of hiking poles, 2 camp chairs, 2 stadium chairs (for inside the tent), one very small table (which might get the boot), 2 bikes on requisite rack, 6 books each (JR's are more for actual knowledge, malcom gladwell, etc. while mine are for pleasure - Lisa Scottoline new novel, vampire novels, and one how to use social networking for business just to say I brought something for knowledge as well).
Good thing we have a Thule on the top of the car.
We'll try and a picture of how everything go into the car.

Table problem- go to REI. They have this cool table that is a dozen or so 2'' slats inside a plastic "cover". The legs screw into the corners and it seems like there is some pole you put perendicular to the slats. Anyway- they whole think rols up into a little tube and weighs a few pounds. Go here http://www.rei.com/product/378009 to supplementa my so-so verbal description
We actually have that table! We decided to forgo it as we felt it took more room, but may re-assess
I look forward to seeing how it fits in the car! :D
Good thing no small children are involved or you would have twice as much stuff! (take note, Aileen & Brian!) I know you can get it all in the car...I've seen JR pack a refrigerator before. Can't think of much to toss overboard. It's not like you're bringing anything useless. Looking forward to seeing you in Chicago. Woohoo! --Mary Z
Have a great time!
