Gettin' our Gear On or Putting on to see if it Fitz

OK, enough of the bad cliche' or play on words for the day...we need to get this stuff in the car and get a move on. Good thing there aren't more of us, or someone wouldn't be going. It's always interesting to see how you can get your life down to the essentials for 14 days. Tent, 2 sleeping bags, 2 mats, enough clothes for 6 days as there are laundry facilities (also for dressup event in Chicago - our Nephew's First Communion), non-perishable food items, hiking stuff, 2 first aid, 2 snake bite kits, one air horn (to frighten the groggy bears in yellowstone), portable grill, condiments, 2 computers, 2 cameras, 2 sets of hiking poles, 2 camp chairs, 2 stadium chairs (for inside the tent), one very small table (which might get the boot), 2 bikes on requisite rack, 6 books each (JR's are more for actual knowledge, malcom gladwell, etc. while mine are for pleasure - Lisa Scottoline new novel, vampire novels, and one how to use social networking for business just to say I brought something for knowledge as well).

Good thing we have a Thule on the top of the car.

We'll try and a picture of how everything go into the car.

We're Off to See the Wizard...

OK, not the Wizard, but we are driving to Chicago to see family. On the way back, we are going to camp in the Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Billings, Missoula and West Yellowstone. Since camping has come a long way, we are taking full advantage - water, electricity and WiFi, yes WiFi. Almost every KOA has WiFi, so we will be taking pics along the way and sharing them along with our stories right here on our blog. So, hold tight, we leave Thursday...
